John Pipkin Pamlico Co. NC

Hello, I'm from Pamlico Co. NC (East of New Bern and south of Greenville). I did a geneolgy project my junior year in high school and have piddles with it since. However, I have been unable to find anything that wasn't written in the old family bible or what my aunt found when she did a similar project when she was in high school.

I have searched census records and the database at the Mormon Family history center. I was able to find a bunch from my mom's side of the family, but nothing on the Pipkin side. I was wondering if anyone had ideas of places I could look, or might have any info on Pipkins in my area.

The farthest back I can get is a John Pipkin. He was the first Pipkin to die in the area I live, but I can't find any record of him living there except that he is listed as a founder of a church, a brief mention in a County histiry book, and his grave stone.

If you have any info that might be of help please reply here or send me an email.

Joey Pipkin
