George Dixon (1828-1907) is my husband's g-g-grandfather. I have Dixie Willis's book and have visited all of those graves with my mother-in-law, and have assumed that Cornelius was George's father (just seems logical because of the birth dates and the closeness of the homesteads and cemetaries), but I don't have anything on paper. I haven't been able to search anywhere other than the internet (time constraints) and I was hoping to find some type of confirmation of my hunch. Do you know any more about that family and Cornelius's origins? Somewhere on the internet, I think in familysearch.com, I found a marriage record for a Cornelius Dixson (sic) and Mary Cutrell (sic) in Craven County for 11 Sep 1818, which seems about right. I appreciate your reply and any help you can offer.
