Cornelius and Mary Dixon

I am looking for information on Cornelius Dixon (1788 -1859) and his wife Mary. Their home, built in 1839, is still standing on Hwy. 55 between Reelsboro and Olympia in Pamlico Co. I have found some info on the web that his wife may have been a Cuthrell. I found in the USGenWeb that he may have been on the Craven Co. muster rolls for the War of 1812. He had four daughters: Victoria, Sally Ann, Matilda, and Piercy Ann. I need to know if he also had a son named George Dixon (1828-1907). Does anyone have any info on Cornelius's parents, grandparents, where he came from, etc.? Thanks!!
