Hello Cindy

I am also a descendant of John Frank Slade through his son Ulysses Slade. He was the father of my grandfather, Mahugh Slade. My grandfather lived with Aunt Molly for a while after his parents died. I got some of my information from him about the family. Some from Vera, which was one of Aunt Molly's children out of the seven that she had.

Aunt Molly was married to a Thomas Spencer first. Susan propably has dates. I also was able to look at the family bible that Aunt Ennie had. Aunt Ennie was John Frank's and Susan's daughters. Gideon is a Caraway not a Slade and he was grandmother Susan's brother. I can check that out with Mr Roy Caraway and his wife Mary. Ms. Mary has a lot on the Caraway's.

They were all born in Pamlico County North Carolina. Pamlico County was not established before the early eighteen hundreds. It was actually divided between Craven County and Beaufort County.

If you wish you may contact me at any time.

Penny Ford
