I don't have much on the Bartons but Sarah Barton married John Ferguson in Orange County in late 1700s. I have seen date but have no proof of marriage date of 1789 but it makes sense given thier son's birth dates.

Parts of Orange turned into Ranolph county and their descendants lived there.

I believe Sarah's fathers name was John. Childrens names from Elizabeth BArton's will. She is noted below.


1. JOHN 1 FERGUSON was born Abt. 1766. He married SARAH BARTON 1 1789 in Orange County, NC2, daughter of BARTON and ELIZABETH WIFE?). She was born Abt. 1770.
