George G. Brown, b. 1802, of Orange, Stokes, Surry Co., NC

I am seeking info on the parentage of George G. Brown, found in the 1850 Stokes Co., NC census. He married Mary Brinkley (b. abt 1810, d/o Crosley Brinkley and Rosanna Simpson Brinkley) on Nov. 9, 1825 in Orange Co., NC.

Their children were:
Rosanna (b. abt 1835, my ancestor)
Polly (abt 1838)
Edna (abt 1840)
William (abt 1841)
Logan (abt 1843)
and George Jr. (abt 1846)

In the 1860 census, Mary is living in Surry County with the five younger children, but without George Sr. George Sr. states that he was born in NC on the 1850 census, but I do not know which county, nor have I been able to find him in other census years.

Any help appreciated!
