Kay, thanks for your reply, I actually have two John on my father's side and one on my mother's side. I believe they are connected in NC in the 1700s however have never been able to find the connection. The one John Reed born in 1746 was in Rowan and the other JOhn Reed was married in Guilford Co. he was born in the 1750's I believe. The John Reed that married in Guilford was married to a Margaret Carson. These Reeds also moved into middle TN. The first John Reed who married Lavinia Williams
was older. His childrens names ;

William born 1779 Rowan co. m. Sarah Johnston
Eleanor married Isham Cole
Sarah m. Samuel Lunn
John married Agnes JOhnston
Hannah m. Caleb Reed
These are the children I have .... no Nathanial or I have none listed.
Lavinia had a connection to a Shadrack Williams , not sure if this was her father or brother.

In middle TN the John and Lavinia Reed were close to the
Robert, John Johnston families. Having property next to one another on the Little Harpeth River in Williamson Co. TN.

As for the other Reed , John and Margaret Carson they moved to Giles Co. TN.

I would have to get the other info for this family.
