McCauley,McCabe,Blackwood

I am looking for the right 'slot' for my James Blackwood McCauley, born in Orange Co,NC, about 1809.By 1831, date of his marriage to Mary Catherine McCabe, he was in Richmond,VA.By 1839 they were in Petersburg,VA where they appear to have remained until about 1846. In 1850 they were in Chesterfield Co and back in Petersburg for the 1860 census.

I am going to give the childrens names as they are frequently pertinent regarding family history: Mary Jane,William,Emily Josephine, Rosalie A. and Ellen.

I would appreciate any help any one can give me and I am more than willing to share what information I have.
