Im seeking documentation of the surnames of two wives of Woods in Orange Co., NC in the 1790s.

There are well over a dozen family trees and numerous messages that give the surname of Mary, wife and widow of Hugh Woods who wrote his will 18 Jan 1794, as Dunnegan. She wrote her own will 2 Oct 1820. I am rather certain Mary was not the daughter of Sherid or Sherwood Dunnagan, born about 1769 and Dicy or Dicey Carrington, born about 1766. Mary and Hugh had a son, Joseph, born in 1750 according to his tombstone and about 1754 in NC according to the 1850 census

Fewer, but several, trees and messages give the surname of Margaret, wife of the John Woods who wrote his will 17 May 1792, as Mebane.

Both of these couples are my direct-line ancestors and I would appreciate any clues to prove these surnames
