On 4/5/1825 William Terrell purchased from George M. Gresham, Sam'l Hamilton and Edward Featherstone, justices of the Inferior Court of Gwinnett, three town lots in Lawrenceville for $238.75. This land was described as Lot #13, 18, 110; and Lot #28. Witnesses were Wm. Maltbie and JOHN BERRY, J.P. William Terrell filed suit against Frederick Baldwin and Elizabeth Baldwin, Administrators of Hugh B. Greenwood, deceased, and William Williamson. To satisfy Terrell's claim, Nesbit, sheriff of Gwinnett, seized April 1825 from the Baldwins a 35 year old Negro and her three children whom Nesbit sold at auction. High bidder at $710 was William Terrell. The deed of ownership was witnessed by L.J.B. Wright and G.M. Gresham, J.I.C.
