Hello Hugh,
I just read your message about Marriage/Death Records in NC. Yes, they do exist IF they were filed.

The easiest way is to go to a local Latter Day Saint's family center where research is available. You may order the microfilm/fiche for the state of NC. I think the fee is $3.00. (This is for early NC marriages....I am not sure about early Death records.)

However, I live in NC and that is already available in this state. (standard microfilm on hand) I have jotted the names down and if I return to the center sometime soon I will try to look up the names.....Abner Nash and Mary Whiting Jones. Is this correct?

It may be a month before I go....
Etta
