The PLUM BRANCH of the HAW RIVER

It appears to be the old name for what is now referred to as Basin Creek, which flows south from near present-day Altamahaw, Alamance, North Carolina through the Shallow Ford Natural Area into the Haw River. One of the small eastern branches of Basin Creek retains the name Plum Creek.
