1871 Marriage--Thomas Osley / Ausley & Emeline Cates

I have two documents for the 1871 marriage of Thomas Ausley and Emeline Cates in Orange County, NC. Note that Ausley is spelled Osley and in the second document (marriage certificate), Emeline is listed as Rhoda, which is her mother's name. I'm happy to share info on this family.

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA
Orange County
To any Regular Minister of the Gospel, of whatever Demonimation, or any Justice of the Peace of said County, Greeting:
You, or Either of You, are hereby authorized and empowered to solemnize the RITES OF MATRIMONY between Thomas Osley, son of Almon Osley and Amanda Osley, and Emeline Cates, daughter of Isaiah Cates and Rhoda Cates, and join them together as man and wife.
Witness, John Jaws, Reg. at office in Hillsboro, the 31 Day of March A.D., 1871.

MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE
This Certifies That the Rites of Matrimony were solemnized by me between Thomas Osley and Rhoda Cates at the residence of James Osley, on the 2nd day of April A.D., 1871.
