There is a Joseph Weeks family tree that says this man was born 1786 in Orange Co., NC, married 1814 and moved to Indiana. Married Lydia Harrell Montgomery. If that's true, then the 1795 land record cannot be this man, as he would have been only about age 9 in the year 1795.

Could the land transaction have been the father of Joseph Weeks who moved to Indiana? Making a Joseph Sr. and Joseph Jr.?
