This is a very old post, but have you learned any more about John COOK & Elizabeth McCAULEY of Orange Co. and Marshall Co., MS?

In Bethlehem, Marshall Co., MS in 1850 & 1860 is a Margaret COOK McLEOD (abt. 1828 in NC) who I believe may be the daughter of this John Cook. Margaret Cook McLeod & her daughter Ruth (1849 MS) are mentioned in the will of Charles PARTIN (b. 1798 in Orange Co., NC-1854 Monroe Co., MS.) He says that Margaret McLeod is the niece of his wife Ruth Cook Partin (abt.1800-after 1860).

Have you learned any more about these COOKS of Orange Co., NC and Marshall Co., MS?
