I have the four volumes of the court records too & was quite thrilled when I found those records tying the Gillettes to the Pattersons of the Eastern Shore and to the Houstons. Also interesting is the name of George Douglas as he was also an Eastern Shore resident. I guess he probably served as witness in Virginia rather than in Onslow County since I have not run across him in Onslow County. Charles Ratcliff, who knew my Gillettes in Virginia, did migrate to Onslow. I think the Littletons migrated to Onslow around the same time and the Grants & probably many more.
