Thank you so much for your response. Henry Allen Rhodes and wife Laura Ann Breece actually had 7 children, my grandfather, Clarence Bryan, being #6. The wall before me has been finding Henry Allen's parents. I know they were Henry Rhodes and Betsy Edens. On an 1850 Onslow County census (Stump Sound), I found "Henry Rhodes" and "Elizabeth Ann Rhodes" together--he 19, she 15. Then nothing else until Henry Allen Rhodes shows up with a wife and child on an 1880 census (Onslow, Stump SOund). Am trying to find out about Henry and Betsy, you may have read the communications between me and Mr. Eddings. And do you know what the connection is between Anthony Hatch Rhodes and Elizabeth Simmons? They had a son named Henry but he married Emaline Hardison in 1856--3 yrs before Henry Allen was many questions, but oh so hard to find the answers!
