Jerald, I have been researching Jeremiah for some time now. Last year I was in Onslow and was able to go to the cemetery Jeremiah and Susan were buried in and took some photos. I discovered that Jeremiah was married twice. Here is a little excerpt from a paper I have written on Jeremiah Aman:

April 28 1910 was the date of the 1910 Census and Jeremiah Aman and Susan were living
with Joseph their youngest son in Jacksonville Township. He was listed as 80 years
old, Susan was 72. They had been married 50 years and the notation by his name said he
was married twice (m2) and by Susanís name she was married once (m1). So it appears that
Jeremiah had been married first to Nancy Dawson in 1858. Jeremiah was no longer
farming. The census stated that both had been born in North Carolina along with their
parents.1

Do you know of a Hattie Morton and William Henry Eubanks.

Take care, Clara
