Tim Marshburn, B Abt 1852

I am looking for my g-g-grandfather. According to my grandmother, her grandfather was Tim Marshburn, born to Moses Marshburn and Elizabeth possibly. He married a Hester James and had Hosea Thomas (Matt), Lucy, Sally, Charlie, Della and Hester.
Lucy was my grandmother, and married John R Batchelor.
The only informtaion that I can find has Tim marrying Hester Marshburn, a relative. My grandmother is certain that Hester was a James.
Also, after Hester died, she says that he married a Kate Davis. From what she says, I'm guessing Kate was either a black woman, or Mulatto. She says that she was dark skinned, and they were not allowed to visit her grandpa anymore. I am guessing this is the same family dispute that caused "Matt" to move to Jacksonville.
Tim and Kate had at least 2 children, Walter and Carroway.

If anyone has any information on any of these people, that would be great...Im really struggling here.
