Its wonderful, I have just found this Onslow Co. genealogy forum, and as I lived there on Rocky Run Road, in a home at Collins Estate, and worked for 17 or so years at Coastal Carolina Community College, I recognize all these wonderful names.....My children Angela, Lorie, and Roland were all reared in Onslow Co. and finish HS at White Oak, and all of their childhood friends they still know.
Angela is the "Hispanic Coordinator" for those who are in the Edgecombe Co. district, and is trying to help her students learn better English, and get thru school, parents and students alike. Lorie is the Asst. Director of Southeastern Mental Health, in Wilmington. Roland had finished as a graduate Engineer, at NC State, and worked at Tennaco in Virginia at the Ship Yard, building those nuclear Submarines....decided to go back to get his degree in the Ministry, and did in Lincoln Ill., and has his MA degree from Lincoln Seminary, and was minister in Winthrop Harbor in Ill. for about 8 or 9 years also, and has a couple of years ago moved to St. Cloud , Fla. and is a "Professor" at FCC (Florida Christian College). He is started on the Phd. also.... Angela has two girls....Lorie has two boys....(and lives next door to us at Hampstead), and Roland has five children...4 boys and a girl...all doing well....My E-mail and I have theirs if you should ask, is: Dr. Roland J. Howard, Sr.
