I am looking for information on James L. FOYLE, Esq., the first record I have of him is being appointed justice of the peace in Onslow Co., North Carolina by Governor Gabriel Johnston in March, 1734. He was also in the assembly of the colony in 1734. In 1739 he was reappointed justice of the peace, also sheriff on Onslow Co. He continued in politics for twenty years or more and there is a record of his collecting funds as sheriff in 1753-1754. He died in Onslow Co., North Carolina in 1771. I am looking for information on his arrival to American from Ireland.

Thank you
