Hello,
I'd not looked at the Northampton Co site in some time until I rec'd a response yestrday on an old post of mine of 8/01/06. Have a look at it & then the reponse dated 3/14/08.
I'm speculating that Benjamin Peebles might be your Colonel Peebles. (Allen Jones was a General in the Revolutionary War) Or Benjamin Peebles may be related to Colonel Peebles & this would at least give you a full name to hunt?
It may be that the deed mentioned might answer some of your questions as it will mine.
