Elizabeth Clark, daughter of Henry and Mary Taylor, was
married to Major Clark per the deed record of Major Clark,
Mary Conolly, and Joshua Taylor selling land to a Frederick
Foy in New Hanover Co., NC, recorded New Hanover, NC, court
12 Aug 1814. (See record of the Clarendon Courier newsletter at http://www.onhgs.org/courier/CC-Vol11-2.pdf)
Major Clark was b. abt 1751 "on the Neuse" River, North Carolina per a Rev War document of Onslow County, NC. He was son of David Clark who d. 1777 Onslow Co.,NC,leaving a will which was recorded and naming all of his
children. I'm researching Major Clark's sister, Annie Ann
Penny whose sons David Clark Penny and Joshua Penny were
in New Hanover County, NC. David Clark Penny migrated with
a family ancestor Philip Covington to Christian Co.,KY, present-day Todd County,KY, at town of Guthrie on the KY/TN
state line. David Clark Penny lived just south of the state line in Robertson Co.,TN.
Major Clark was named a guardian in the New Hanover Court records 1816 of a David Taylor when a Joseph Taylor relinguished guardianship.(http://www.onhgs.org/courier/CC-Vol14-2.pdf)
A number of Taylors were also in Onslow Co.,NC records
late 1700s with the Clark family. It's very likely you might
locate more records/connections on Henry Taylor by researching the Taylors of Onslow County, NC.
