Thanks for the information. From the information you provided, it looks as if Francis and maybe Susannah were possibly living when the 1810 Census was taken. Francis had md. Michael Delaney and was probably gone from her parent's house. Do you know when Susannah died?

You Stated:
Benjamin Williams b. 1754 Lunenburg Co., VA-d 1818, Smithville, NC; md. Ann Simpson b. 1755 New Hanover Co., NC-d 1840 SC

Ann               1777-1784
Simpson        1781-1795
Benjamin        1783-1788
Elizabeth       1785-1788
Francis        1788 md. Michael Delaney July 1806
Joseph               1790-1804

1810 Federal Census for Brunswick Co., NC listed two Benjamin Williamses; one on p. 45 and one on p. 50.

The Benjamin listed on p. 45 could not have been your Benjamin based on your info for when the children died.
Also, this would not have been his son, Benjamin b/c he only lived from 1783-1788.

The Benjamin on p 45 had 3 males under 10 years
                      1 male 16- un 26
                      1 male 26 and un 45
0male 45 and up

                      1 female under 10
                      1 female 26 - un 45

The Benjamin on p. 50 could very well be your Benjamin and his wife with no children living with him.

The Benjamin on p.50 has 1 male 45 and up and 1 female 45 and up

Do you know if he is buried in Smithville and if so, where he is buried? Do you know where any of his children are buried? Who was his wife living with in South Carolina?
Did Francis and Michael Delaney go to SC?
