John Taylor Northrop, 1880 census

I am trying to tie up loose ends on my Henagan line. Mary Rutledge Henagan, daughter of Dr. and Gov. Barnabas K. Henagan and Mary Savage Gibson of Marion, SC, married John T. Northrop about 1868. They are in the 1880 census of Wilmington, New Hanover, NC...he is listed as being a lumber inspector. He and both parents were born in NC. They had four daughters - Louise N., Alice H, Elizabeth, and Carrie Coming, all born in the 1870s. Louise may have married a Lisle, and later, E. A. Bissonette of Charleston.

I would be happy to share information if anyone knows anything about these folks.

Mildred Venitucci

Also researching in NORTH CAROLINA: Samuel Lusk, Rev. Soldier...my 3rd g.grandfather...died in Amite Co., MS.
