Hello!

Looking for information on Early and Elizabeth Lewis - Boaz Sr. Lewis's parents.

Boaz Sr. Lewis (b. 1830, d. circa 1907) married Elizabeth Jane Lewis (b. 1845) in New Hanover County, NC 1873. Elizabeth was from Caswell County. This is Boaz Sr.'s second wife (1st wife was Anna M. Jackson).
Parents of Boaz Sr. are listed as Early and Elizabeth Lewis on the marriage certificate.
Elizabeth Jane Lewis's brother, Richard C. Lewis, witnessed the marriage.
We know Boaz resided in Sampson County in 1850 & 1870 according to census, but aren't certain if his family is from Sampson or New Hanover Counties.

Children of Boaz and Elizabeth:
Doc Rolen Lewis
Walter T. Lewis (Child: Ishom married Viola, child: G.B.)
Preston Lewis

We also know in 1906 BOAZ Sr. was still alive because he filed for another extension or higher pension from the Confederate Army. He voted and is registered in 1902 among with Preston, Walter T. and Franklin H. (Franklin is from Boaz's 1st wife).

Any information on Boaz's children and parents is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Stephanie McDaries-Lewis
