I am looking for anyone who may have information on Boaz's children or his siblings.
The following I have obtained from a distant relative who I am most grateful for having a website www.senclewises.com.
Boaz Lewis born either in 1824 (1880 Census has Boaz age of 56, farmer), 1826 (lds.org website), or 1831? (1850 Census has Boaz b. in 1831, living near home of Benjamin, age 19), Sampson County, NC
Siblings are: Lydia (1827), Benjamin (1837), Delitha (1850)
Their father: Benjamin Lewis born 1799, originally from Robeson County, NC moved to Sampson County, NC in 1821
married Byer (no other info on her)
Benjamin's father: James Lewis (had a brother with the same name, ours is the youngest) born 1781 born Marion County, SC, married Nancy?
James Lewis father: James Simeon Lewis born c.1760 Brunswick County, NC
James Simeon Lewis father: James Lewis Sr. born 1723 Northern Ireland, moved to New Hanover County, NC in 1736, then to Brunswick County, NC c. 1745
James Lewis Sr.'s father: William Lewis Jr. born 1690 Northern Ireland
William Lewis Jr. father: William Lewis, Sr. born 1660 France
William Lewis, Sr.'s father: Jean Louis to John Lewis, changed name upon moving to Ireland born c. 1635 France
Boaz married Elizabeth J. Lewis in New Hanover County, NC 9/28/1873 (have to wonder if this is his 2nd wife since the birth date of Franklin are prior to when they married). These dates are according to the 1880 Census, Sampson County, NC.
Franklin H. Lewis (b. 1866?)
Preston H. Lewis (b. 1875?)
Doctor Rolen Lewis (b.12/20/1875, d. 2/19/1936)
Walter T. Lewis (b. 1879?)
? Again the dates I question on Boaz because the 1850 Census and the 1880 Census from Honeycutts Township, Sampson County have different ages for him as well as the lds.org website, and I am not certain if Boaz's children ages are accurate either. However, I do have the death certificate of Doctor having these dates as indicated on it, but they could be in error too.
Any information would be helpful.
