The Noncupative will of HARTWELL DRAKE deceased which is as follows to wit:
Impremis: I give and bequeath to my first children viz: FREDERICK, GOODMAN, DALPHIN, THOMAS and ARCHIBALD DAVIS and daughter SALLY WARD and grandchild POLLEY DAVIS daughter of OREN DALES DAVIS deceased to each and every of them the sum of five shillings
Item: I give and bequeath to my sons JOHN W. DRAKE and BENJAMIN DRAKE all the rest of my estate of every kind whatever to them and their heirs forever.
State of North Carolina, Nash County
The above will was proved before us this 25th day of April 1796 by the oaths of WILLIAM CHLOE BLANTON and SILAS DRAKE.
It is to be remembered that WILLIAM BLANTON does not recollect the first itme as it stands in the will, but that the whole of the estate of evry kind whatever was given to JNO. H. DRAKE and BENJAMIN DRAKE.
