I don't have any photos myself, but perhaps some of the present members of the family may have some. The area was in Spring Hope, Nash County, which is still there, and I notice that most of the family members were buried in the Mills Family Cemetery in Spring Hope, also still being used. One of my ancestral cousins, Richard Henry CORDELL (family also spelled it CAUDLE) was married to Julia Ann Mills, dau/of David & Louisa Jane Spears-Mills, and just about all of their family have been buried at the Mills Family Cemetery. I'm pretty sure this would have been the same cemetery where many of the early MILLS family, including David's, were buried and probably was on the land that they owned. A few years ago, a CORDELL cousin sent me a few photos she had taken of the tombstones for the family which she says was St. John's Cemetery in Spring Hope, but the death certificates on some of them read they were buried in the Mills Family Cemetery. It's possible that they were moved, but also from past experience it's more than likely that the cemetery may either have changed its name (although the name Mills Family Cemetery is still being listed on current burials, too) or the land where both cemeteries are located are very close to one another and the borders may be indistinguishable by visitors.
Anyway, one of the tombstones is that of Julia, and if you're interested, I can email you directly with a copy. Just let me know.
