Yes, we have sold enough to pay for all published. It is a very valuable book! There are 13 in my house ready to sell. I am so glad you asked. I am the only one selling them now. If one comes to my house to pick up the book, it is $65. It is $76 to mail. Make out your check to "Edgecombe County Heritage book." Mail it to: Mrs. Dee Long, 204 Pescud Street, Tarboro, NC 27886.

There is a lot of Anderson family information in the book. The index shows: William Anderson in Story 414; William III, Story 416; Willie Anderson, Story 414, 417; Willie Mack Anderson, Story 660; Willie Mack Anderson, Sr., Story 415.

Titles of the Stories:
414 THE ANDERSON FAMILIES (goes back to George Anderson owning 150 acres in Isle of Wight, VA where 14 Andersons lived)

James Anderson settled on Tar River in 1723; Perquimans-James Anderson; Joseph Anderson of Chowan County bought land in Edgecombe County in 1737 and 660 acres on the north side of Fishing Creek in 1746--4 years before he died. They were Quakers and came by a different route than most.

There was an Elizabeth Anderson in Bertie County with sons who had a 1732 will.
------------------
415 ARCHIBALD "BALDY" ARRINGTON ANDERSON, SR. (WILLIE MACK ANDERSON, SR. MENTIONED)

416 HENRY ANDERSON I (WILLAM ANDERSON III MENTIONED)

417 MICAJAH "CAJAH" ANDERSON (WILLIE ANDERSON MENTIONED.)

660 GEORGE HENRY KIRKLAND FAMILY(WILLIE MACK ANDERSON MENTIONED)

We live in Tarboro, NC which is about 10 miles south from a Willie Mack Anderson. We know them well.

In the front of the book there is an article I wrote on early settlers of Edgecombe County. The Andersons are listed as one of the first families here.

I think this book will be very useful to you from what I just read. There is one group of political Andersons who would not write about their family. The father, Berry Anderson, was an Edgecombe County Commissioner. He and his wife are deceased. He was a joint owner of a peanut place at Leggett. I went out there and took a picture of it and put it in the book. His picture is in it. Many of his sons have good jobs at the Edgecombe Community College now.

My husband is Cecil E. Long and is listed in the telephone book that way if you need to call me.

I was named Josephine Ardelia Harper but they call me "Dee" now. Four of us worked very hard on this book. I wrote about 200 articles. Some people are not writers. We got pictures and information that are in this book but not in our local libraries. As I said, it is extremely valuable because it is our first one.

Good to hear from you.

Dee
