Obituary for Alfred Clayton Baker, Sr., Wilson Daily Times, Wednesday, November 29, 1950, Wilson Co NC

“Smithfield – A.C. Baker, age 63, died at his home in Kenly Monday night after a lingering illness.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock at Overby’s funeral chapel in Smithfield by the Rev. J.H. Lansinger, pastor of Smithfield Presbyterian Church and burial was in Elm City cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Four Oaks, route one; four songs (sic), W.T. of Raleigh, Oscar C. of Selma, A.C. Jr., Wilson, Malcom (sic) Baker, Four Oaks, route one; three daughters, Mrs. Paul S. Rice, Four Oaks, four Oaks, route one, Mrs. Dalton Lee, Selma, route one, Mrs. Jarvis McMillan, Dayton, O.; a sister, Mrs. Fred May, Goldsboro; two brothers, Willie Baker and Johnny Baker of Nash county; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.”
