“6. FINCH, Hudson b 24Jun1800 d 2Sep1854 m 25Aug1823 Mary Mintz ‘Polly’ LINDSEY b 24Aug1805. She was a sister of Jerusha JERNIGAN and a cousin of Col. John B. LINDSEY. They lived on a farm about two miles from Mt. Pleasant Church and are buried in the family cemetery situated on a heavily wooded knoll now in the middle of a plowed field” (Jerusha Lindsey married Bright Jernigan of Johnston Co NC as his 2nd wife; the cousin of Mary and Jerusha was actually Col. John E. Lindsey, son of Jeptha Lindsey, Sr. of Nash Co NC).
