Hi Jim,

The first relationship that came to my mind was that Nancy Moore and Patience Smith might be sisters. And that Alexander Smith left to the Moore girls as nieces.

We have not found a maiden name for Nancy as yet. Edward has been the least researched of William and Rahab's
children. Most of the boys went west after leaving Tuscloosa,AL. I descend from Edward's brother Archibald

I do thank you for the information on Edward's children. Only Martha and Patience are listed on the 1850 census with a 3year old John E. Travis. Would this be Martha's son?

On the 1850 Fayette co GA census Patience lists her age as 17. If it is not an error that would coincide with the Smith marriage.

LOL no help at all , I know, just trying to brainstorm sometime that helps.

The only other oddity is that on some early researth that came my way there was the name Sarah ? in the slot for Edward's wife.

Again, I thank you for your posting.

Judy Welch that was a Moore.
