I'm sorry to take so long to thank you for this very valuable information. I hadn't known of the existence of a community called Odom's.
The information is interesting, too, because of the Boddie connection. George Boddie was one of those ordered by the Nash Co. court to allot the widow's portion to Theophilus Odom's widow Dinah.
Micajah Odom is new to me, but he, too, is interesting. Since Dinah Odom relinquished the administration of Theophilus's estate to a William Lindsey, and since William Lindsey and a Nathan Lindsey were among the buyers at the sale of Theophilus's estate, I suspect Dinah may have been a Lindsey.
From what I know of the Lindseys in Nash Co., their roots lie in the Lindsey family of Brunswick Co., VA, who came there from Essex Co., VA, by way of Spotsylvania Co. Micajah was a common name in the Lindsey lines that stemmed from the Essex-Brunswick Lindsey family.
Thanks for all the clues!
