James Calvin Wood, a farmer (b1827-d1864) member of Co. K 44th NC Infantry. Married
to Tempie Gupton (b1832-d1908) Dec.18,1850. KIA Oct.22,1864 somewhere near
Petersburg Va. Son of John Wood, according to will written in 1872 and probated in 1875
in Franklin County N.C.. Looking for information on James' father John Wood. Other
family name connections: John Thomas Wood, Edgar Wood, Henry Wood, William
Howell Wood all from the Franklin County / Louisburg, Nash County, NC area.
