Mr. Allen,
I live in adjoining Edgecombe County and saw your post. Spring Hope has a delightful Historical Museum located on Main St. in Spring Hope. You might consider writing them for information. They have a great collection of early photos of the community and residents. Also the area newspaper, The Spring Hope Enterprise has done numerous articles on the history of the community and families. They are located at 113 Ash St. in Spring Hope. Zip is 27882.
FInally there is a Nash County Genealogical group known as Tar River Connctions that meets monthly at Braswell Library in Rocky Mount. I do not have their E-mail address but you should be able to reach them rhough the library at 344 Falls Rd. Rocky Mount NC 27804.

There is a brief history of Rocky Mount and Nash County that I wrote in 1998. It has a small section on Spring Hope, but not your particular family. You can order one trhough most book stores like Barnes and Nobles or direct from the publisher www.arcadiaimages.com

As you mentioned in an earlier post Francis Nash is the namesake for Nash county, but he had no descendents living here.

Good luck in your research
