McGuffin Mystery, 1971, North Carolina

I need some help. My uncle, Clifford Hugh McGuffin, Jr, died in Rocky Mount, NC in 1971. He left behind a wife, Rebecca Lee and 3 children. They were Cindy, Tobin Lee and Candy. After his untimely death, my family never heard from his wife or children again until around 1980. Tobin Lee, the middle child, showed up at my grandmother's house in Raleigh, NC. He was 18 at the time. After, spending the evening with my mom and aunt, he wasn't heard from again. I found an address for him several years ago in Tarboro, NC but it wasn't current.
My family wants to find his children because we want to know how they're doing and what became of them. This is a part of my family that is missing and I'd like to find them if possible.
Rebecca married a sheriff's deputy or the sheriff of Nash County very soon after Clifford's death. The man's last name was either Roberson or Robertson. The family moved from Nash County by 1972. According to a letter written in 1969 by Tobin, the family was living in Aurora, NC. Tobin Lee was eight at the time of his father's death.
My uncle served in the Air Force. He was stationed at Kirkland, Lackland and Sheppard Air Force Bases in the 1950s. I believe that he flew some type of air plane in the Air Force. He served in Guam and Korea.
If anyone has information about Clifford's children please contact me. I have tried looking for them on the Internet but haven't been successful. Thanks.
