Doreen, Not researching these lines, but do find a George Sutton in Edgecombe Nov 1775, as a wit for Robert Young & Micajah Thomas....(Nash Co is formed from Edgecombe in 1777), In Nash Co I find a George Sutton as a wit for James Tucker Sr to James Tucker Jr. in 1792, In Nash Co 1812 George Sutton to Wm Linsey, Wm Boddie, Willis Boddie, John Cooper, John Deans, and Pridgen Manning 1 acre for 1 dollar, to build a House or place of worship for the members of the Methodist Episcopal Church. In 1811 a Samuel Sutton is wit for Wm Parks Sr to Moses Parks .....No other mentions in either books for an other Suttons....Hope this may give you a place to start. Good Luck
Cindy
