Meanwhile, I wonder how/why a Suffolk, VA, marriage wound up recorded by a District of Columbia clerk of court? Does that strike you as odd? Wonder was that CLARK residence in Suffolk or Washington? (and do you think this is where I should mention that my gr-grandfather's name was Archer CLARK HOyle? <g>)
