In the name of God, Amen. The eleventh day of January, one thousand seven hundred and eighty one, I JOHN MANN of Nash County, State of North Carolina do make and ordain this my last will and testment, and first I first give and recommend my soul to God and my worldly estate I dispose of in the following manner.
Imp: I give all my negroes to my father THOMAS MANN and his assigns, forever, and all the rest of my estate, after my just debts are paid.
I give to my brother WILLIAM MANN and his assigns, whom I constitute and appoint executor of this my last will and testament and I do ratify and confirm this to be my will. In witness whereof I hereby set my hand and seal.
In the presence of WILLIAM WHELESS, AMOS WHELESS, MILDRED WHELESS

The within will was exhibited in open court and proved by the oath of AMOS WHELESS which is ordered to be recorded. Atterst Wm. Hall, C.C.
