Cumberland has a Lewis Bowlles and there was another one in Moore County, I think that one was Robert.
At present I am working on a book for future publication on early Moore records--which means doing Cumberland 1756-1784 as hat was Moore's parent county.
Actually just turned to another page and found a deed from Robert Bennerman [I wonder if that was Berryman] to Abner Bowells. The time frame was about 1781-1782.
