Thank you for your reply. We will definitely join for Lee Co. Genealogical Society.

I am researching the Goins/Goings/Gowens of Moore Co.

My line starts with James born abt 1792.

James Goins abt 1792 NC
Nutty Goins abt 1803 NC
Andrew Goins abt 1828 NC Civil War
Henry Goins abt 1829 NC Civil War
Ursula Goins abt 1835 NC
Amy Goins abt 1838 NC
John W Goins abt 1841 NC Civil War (my gg grandfather)
James Goins abt 1844 NC
Mary Goins abt 1846 NC

and we believe:
Richard Goins abt 1837 NC Civil War

All 4 boys signed up for the Civil War on the same day in Moore Co.

We really would like to find out who the parents were of James and Nutty and if Richard was indeed his son.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
