what records are available for the Burke and Mitchell Co from 1770 to 1880.
I seek information on George Cook b 1818 Guilford and his son John born b 1854 in Bakersville. John his son William along with family move to Carter Co TN sometime after 1883 and before 1900. John is on the 1880 census for Bakersville Mitchell NC with land next to his father George. It also looks like other family might also a join the property...
I believe that George is son of George Cook Jr born 1795 Burke Co. his father George Sr. is born 1770 in lyles Creek Lincoln NC.
are there any family pictures or stories. are there any history/ family books ?? any records of last wills, Marriage or birth??
