Looking for BUCHANAN'S

My grandfather's mother went by the name of Dove BUCHANAN, in 1900 she is found on the 1900 Mitchell Co. NC Roaring Creek twp. census, with her two sons, Donald Bracknell "Brackie" & Luther Carl "Lute" BUCHANAN.
Dove BUCHANAN, is said to have gone Smyth or Washington Co. VA. in 1900 or 1901 to cook in a lumber camp & died there of Typhoid Fever or Diphtheria.
I had heard there might have been relatives in the area??
Who were Dove's parents??
Was she ever married?
Who was the father of her sons??
I have been researching a line of BUCHANAN'S for 30 yrs. & through DNA testing it looks like I've been researching the wrong BUCHANAN Family???
BUCHANAN'S do your DNA testing so we can straighten out these families. It's a great new tool & in the long run can cost less money...
