McPherson and Lawrence Families

Seeking information on the early McPherson family of the Russellville, Logan, KY area. According to family history, a Dr. John McPherson was involved in the Revolutionary War and received very large grants of land in the area as a result of his service. He appears to have relocated to Logan County by 1800, as he appears on a Logan County Tax List in that year. It is unknown as to what colonial area he was located in at the time of his service in the Revolutionary War.

His daughter, Eliza L. McPherson (b. abt. 1806 in Logan County) married George Washington Lawrence (b. Abt. 1801 in North Carolina) in Logan County, KY on April 25, 1821.

Seeking information on where Dr. McPherson was located before coming to Logan County, KY, who he was married to, birth and death dates, etc.

Also seek parents of George Washington Lawrence.

I have many pictures of early Lawrence and collateral family members I can share.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
