Thank you for sending this to me. We are trying to find out more about Rose - where is she buried, where is her son Abel buried? Who was Rose's father and mother. William Churchell Adkins (my grandfather) seems to have disappeared from 1910 to 1923. We cannot locate where he was living or what he was doing. We know he married (?) Rose Pennington and had three children, Grandville, Obel and Abel. Abel died in 1914 the same year Rose is listed as dying, but there are no records of any marriage, or of her death or of Abel's death. Obel died in Ohio, Grandville died in Kentucky (visited him when I was very young). I knew Grandville, but Obel died before I was born. No one in my family ever talked about "the early years"! We know that Grandville and Obel were raised by my great grandfather. Grandville's children and grandchildren would like to know more about their grandmother.
