thank you thank you thank you soooo much for finding my message!!!!! i ahve been looking for over a year on the Black family!my g-g grandma said sh e came from Indians many many yrs ago and i was beginning to think thats why i couldnt find anymore on the family.a brief run down of my direct line to sanford:
sanford--alexander--lillie francis black setliff--goldie marie setliff c hapman--edith marie chapman bush--marcella marie bush lincolnogger--me (sheena marie lincolnogger)
i dont have much on them otehr than census records beyond my g-g grandma.in my family we had 5 generations alive for about 15 yrs (when my great grandma died) and then my g-g grandma died in jan 2003, 94 yrs old. so you can imagine how much people were in awe of our family for having soo many generations together for soo long.we called her granny, she was short, petite, had long ( i mean down past her rear long) hair but she always kept in a bun until a relative started caring for her and she'd keep her down but pulled back someway.she was in good mind til abt 86 yrs old.she had the energy of a teen.
but i can give you info on our line )my g-g grandma's line that is but thats it bc i dont know anything else on the family.they've been hard to locate and find any info on.
my email is [email protected] if you have pics id love to see them too as would my family.which sibling line do you decend from?may i ask where you live?i'm in wv.
