George Wheatley came from Md. He was born about 1824 or 1825. On the 1880 census a George Wheatley,age 56,is listed as living in Beaufort County, N.C. with a wife Mary J. age 48 and children John W, Wm. E., Charles, George W., Sarah A, Gertrude (grandchild) and Levi (grandchild)
I wonder if anyone knows the names of his parents so that I can verify that this is my George Wheatley.
