Regarding Nancy Griffiths born 1827
and Weldon Smith Hunter born 1821 who married in Tarboro NC on February 14 1844
They had three children
Martha L Born 1845
Willie Born 1856
Lena Born 1859
I know Martha L Hunter goes on to marry John W White in Tarboro but Nancy and Weldon leave Willie and Lena with them. They show on 1870 census for Tarboro living with John and Martha and no sign of Weldon.
Any idea why the children were left there?
John W White dies 1878 and on 1880 census Weldon S Hunter appears to be a 54 year old laborer widowed
Martha widowed with her four children
Maude White born 1826
James M White born 1863
Agnes White born 1868
Mabel White born 1872
