My wife and I recently visited Williamston and found that the visitors center at the old Asa Biggs house (Judge and Senator) has the Martin Co. Heritage books, as well as other books on the area, historical guides, and Christmas ornaments.

The Christmas ornament this year is a beautiful metalic rendering of the old Skewarkey Church, the oldest church in Williamston (formerly known as Skewarky) and which is still in use. The church, Primitive Baptist, has only 3 members left and a portion of the proceeds of the ornaments goes to the church - the rest to the historical society. The cost of the ornament is $15.

I think you can write the address in the next reply for more info.
